My Dendera course is now available

Located on the west bank of the Nile River, some 60 km (37 miles) north of Luxor and near the modern town of Qena, Dendera is probably one of the better preserved ancient temples in all of Egypt.

Dedicated to Hathor, the Sacred Cow goddess (neter), who was also seen as the Mother of All, breathing life into all creation, Dendera was also connected with Nut, the goddess (neter) of the starry realms, who gave birth to the sun (Khepri/Ra) every morning, only to absorb him again as darkness falls.

You are invited to step through the sacred gates and explore the temple complex, its outer buildings, learning about its history and much more, before entering the temple itself.

Then, as you move throughout the temple, following the sacred pathways that the temple's own priesthood would have taken, marvel at the powerful symbolism that covers the walls and ceilings, discovering the deeper meanings once reserved for the initiated.

:: Explore the temple in its entirety ~ from the hidden crypts to the rooftops where sacred rituals once were conducted until the shining stars.

:: Gain a deeper understanding of the ancient Egyptian (Khemit) cosmology that is painted on the ceiling of this temple, and how they explain the Eternal Return in which we all reside.

:: Discover the meanings behind the often misinterpreted images hidden deep within the crypt.

:: Undertake guided journey to join with Nut, the goddess (neter) of the skies, and allow yourself to be reborn.

:: Join in the sacred rites of old on the temple roof where you will connect with the Sacred Cow goddess (neter), Hathor.
