It has been some three years in the making however my online course on the mysteries of ancient Egypt is finally available through Udemy.
This ancient land of the pharaohs and shifting sands has long fascinated me, like it has done (and continues to do) for many people, and when I finally found myself standing between to paws of the enigmatic sphinx, sitting in the so-called Queen’s Chamber within the Great Pyramid, and wandering between the intrinsically carved pillars of the temple hypostyle halls, it became increasingly clear that what we had long been told about this ancient land may not actually be the truth.
Indeed, I came away with more questions than answers - many of which continue to remain unanswered.
Maybe that is why we are so drawn to ancient Egypt - that it taps into part of our collective memory of a time that has been long forgotten and which, due to our current perceived reality, we are not able to properly comprehend.
In the Mysteries of Ancient Egypt, I do not attempt to prove my theories, merely encourage you to consider what we know and compare it to what is actually there.
Have we long been looking at this ancient land through an extremely narrow lens of half truths and limitations?
Are we searching for answers that simply are not there?
Our modern world has long been dominated by the need of “scientific proof” as a way of verifying “truth”. However, ancient Egypt continues to evade these rules. As such, maybe we need to consider a new perspective and allow the “truth” to unfold in its own way.
